The mission of Grant Healthcare Foundation is to continue the tradition of Grant Hospital of Chicago, founded in 1883, by providing and supporting healthcare services to the people of the Chicago metropolitan area.
The Foundation supports the following activities:
- Direct medical services provided by community organizations, including operational and capital support;
- Preventive medical programs and mental health and substance abuse services;
- Programs designed to assist, rehabilitate and maintain the disabled;
- Medical research; and
- Patient educational programs
